It’s not a BOY thing!!

Tuesday, July 14, 2015 Freshen Up

Individuals are always fascinated by the looks of others, especially the ones on screen. And when it comes to hair styles, there turn out to be no limits to experiments. It is most often seen among the boys to shave off their hair, either for their comfort or rather for the charm looks. But now days, women too seem to feel it suiting. Well yes, I’m talking about the ‘Pixie Cut’, being the latest trend among the women.

Hollywood is one place where we see more of experiments on the hair styling, be it to colour each strand with different shades or to shave the head off.  Knowing the fact that it would grow back in a few days, they do not bother much in giving it off, if at all for movies. Change of looks, be it hair or wear, is something that keeps refreshing themselves to the top of the list. Actresses like Charlize Theron and Halle Berry are the few who believe that it is their pixie cut that stood out among the others with long wavy strands. But there were others like Anne Hathaway and Shailene Woodley, who shed their tears while they saw their hair chop off. Michelle Williams on the other hand, went on the pixie, in memorial of her late partner Heath Ledger. Emma Watson, who had long locks in Harry Porter series, says the new hair cut made her feel sexier.

The actresses in Hollywood do dare to take risks indeed bringing alive their roles on screen. But, do the actresses in Indian film industry dare to do so? Well, let me tell you, we do have few daring women in our film industry too, who do not mind chopping off their hair for the real look of the character. Urmila Mandtodkar in Bhoot and Kajol in Dushman did really give it a shot.  Even South Indian actresses are not way behind as we have Parvathi Menon who has been admired for her new curled pixie in Bangalore days. Now the latest Akshara Hassan, who took her first step to Bollywood in Shamitabh is yet again setting a trend with her pixie.

But there were many others who though refused to take off their hair, yet did look stunning on screen and were the most loved pixie cuts.  Anushka Sharma in PK indeed came to the top among the most loved hair cut despite of refusing to give off her hair for the movie. Parineeti Chopra in Hasee Toh Phasee and Priety Zinta in Lakshya also looked cute in their short hair for a little time on screen. Kangana Ranaut was one another attraction in Fashion too.

Whatever be the cut, however short be it, women are always fond of hair and hair styles. And so every hairstyle passes by, gets a peep. So girls, are you ready to go for a short cut?
